Cotton Or Linen
The finest material for a suit during the sweltering summer months is cotton or linen. These suits are primarily offered in lighter colors and are composed of natural cloth. They are therefore very breathable and light. Even while a cotton suit might not be the best option for work, a business-casual outfit can be created by pairing a cotton or linen jacket with wool pants. You can decide to wear this suit on vacation, on business trips, and during outdoor weddings. These materials need more ironing since they wrinkle more easily than wool and tweed.
Velvet And Corduroy
Cotton is available in thicker varieties such as velvet and corduroy. In velvet, the threads are woven in an upward direction, like a pile, but in corduroy, they are pleated out. Compared to cotton, both materials are thicker. They are warmer but offer less breath ability. For this reason, mild winters or days with a slight chill are ideal for these two types of materials.
Cotton pants go well with a corduroy suit jacket for a more laid-back vibe; otherwise, the jacket may appear somewhat oversized. However, this entire ensemble is ideal whether you want to show off your vintage business wear or are dressing up as Indiana Jones for a costume party. This fabric’s great quality is its extreme durability.
Conversely, velvet is extremely delicate. Furthermore, it gives off a faint sheen that is inappropriate for everyday use (unless you’re an entertainer). It looks great on proms, formal events, and black-tie affairs. Velvet jackets can also be worn with wool pants or chinos for semi-formal, dinner parties, and cocktail events.
